Facilities


Arena 

The 20 x 60m indoor school with a gel-track surface provides the ideal environment for horses to work on whether it is flat work or jumping. The surface was chosen with RDA leaders and side-walkers in mind as it is firm, flat surface to walk on.

The viewing gallery seats 130 people with access by stairs or lift. The glass fronted heated gallery provides a warm environment to watch arena activities, the glass screen can be folded back for lecture demonstrations.
Our clients have commented on how much they like the “light and airy” feel of the gallery.

 

The Outdoor Arena

The well maintained outdoor arena with a mixed surface provides additional riding space for student sessions and exercising.
The 20m x 40m arena can be used all year round with the benefit of floodlights for those dark evenings.

The indoor arena is flanked by 2 self contained stable blocks comprising of yard office, tackroom, feedroom and staffroom with direct access to the arena. The smooth running of  daily activities
and horse care are ensured by the 2 yard teams and volunteers.

The well equipped classroom has whiteboard and over head projector to help concentrate the mind for theory sessions. In addition to the visual aids there is a resourses cupboard with a large selection of books, feed samples, bedding materials, bits, shoes and a range of videos.

Our social room is fitted out with comfy seating and a kitchen area including a kettle,fridge and microwave so visitors can have an opportunity to relax. Vending machines are kept well stocked to see off the hunger pangs and provide hot and cold drinks.

 

 


Parking Facilities

The car park area finishes off the general theme of easy access with a tarmac surface leading to automatic doors at the main entrance.
