Every year we get a new influx of trainees and students on the yard.
Some were with us last year and some are new. We work closely with the local
colleges and organisations to provide tuition for those wanting to work in the
horse industry. Click on the link above to here their points of

| A Big "Thank You" from all the staff
at MPEC |
All
the staff at MPEC would like to thank everyone who took part in our Open Day on
1st June 2003. The weather was great on the day and everyone had a fantastic
time. We had a full timetable of events on the day including Monty's school of
kickboxing, Yorkshire Air Ambulance, West Yorkshire Fire Brigade and the
British Mounted Games Association.
Staff from the Centre also played their part, putting on a
spectacular drill riding display. Congratulations to you all, the ride was
absolutely spot on.
Andrew Dufton, staff member and dressage star also put on a
wonderful display on his horse "Desert Storm" know as Finlay in the yard.
Thanks also need to go to Val and Alan Thewlis at Batley Rotary Club,
without whose help th day would not have happened at all.
Thanks everyone! |

| "STABLE
GIRL" CALENDAR-2002 |
After the very publicised launch of the Stable Girl calendar in
August, sales took off like a jumbo out of Heathrow. The calendars have been
sold locally as well as nationally and surprisingly internationally with the
luscious lovlies ending up on the walls in Australia, New Zealand, South
Africa, South America, Egypt, Ireland, Germany, Scotland and good old
USA. We
have been aided and abetted by local businesses A Baldwin & Co (Builders)
Ltd, Service Metals, Kwick Save to mention but a few. Look North TV
and local radio were also very instrumental in raising awareness as was "The
Sun" newspaper. Thank you also to the Royal Navy who showed great interest
in our girls. The biggest thank you however has to go to the "girls" who
"dared to bare", and despite sometimes problematic weather and temperatures,
kept smiling and looking great! They scrub up well don't they? Thank you also to Adrian the photographer to whom we
will be eternally grateful and other support people i.e. hairdresser Sharon and
make-up Sue. There are still one or two
calendars for sale and they can be obtained by sending a cheque for £8.00
(inc. p&p) to Middleton Park Equestrian Centre, Middleton Grove, Leeds LS11
