Stable Girls Calendar
The Staff have posed for a saucy calendar to help raise cash for one of its most talented students. Andrew Dufton, 24, wants to represent Great Britain at the 2004 Paralympic Games in Athens. But his attempt at glory in the dressage event is likely to cost about £30,000.
Now staff and volunteers from the Middleton Park Equestrian Centre in Leeds have produced a calendar of risque photos to help bring in the money.
The 12 women - aged 17 to 45 - appear in a range of suggestive poses, sometimes clad only in lacy lingerie and jodhpurs.
They hope the £7 calendars will help realise Andrew's dreams of taking part in the games.
Bev Backhouse, centre manager, said: "We wanted to show that we can get out there and do something for ourselves to raise this money.
"We had written to all the big companies nearby asking for help but, because they are inundated with these sorts of requests, we did not get anything back. Then we all sat down and thought about what we could do and our administrator, Sue McCormack, came up with the idea of a calendar."
